چکیده
Escherichia coli can cause diarrheal and extraintestinal illnesses in humans. Diarrheagenic E. be transmit to human through consumption of contaminated food, including vegetables. Biofilm produced by during food processing plays a role development foodborne illnesses. Vegetables have often been involved infections. A total 40 isolates from vegetables were tested determine biofilm formation at 12°C, 25°C 37°C the crystal violet MTT assays. All performed for production curli fimbriae cellulose associated with on Congo red agar. 37°C, 12°C was detected 87.5%, 70% isolates, respectively. among using assays showed statistically significant difference between as well (p < 0.05). However, no 25 > 0.05) obtained. Three different morhotypes (bdar, pdar saw) identified based expression cellulose. The incidence bdar morhotype 27.5% 50% Prevalence morphotype At 25°C, only one isolate (2.5%) saw morphotype. expressed or cellulose, three which non-biofilm producer assay. This study demonstrated that presence forming E.coli may risk health safety.

Molecular Characterization and Antimicrobial Resistance of Uropathogenic Escherichia coli
Background:Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) are the most common infectious diseases in childhood. The Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) strains account for as much as 80% of UTIs. Objective:From a clinical perspective, it is important to know which virulence factors and antibiotic resistance properties are present in UPEC strains in pediatrics. Therefore, this study was carried out...
متن کاملSystematic characterization of Escherichia coli genes/ORFs affecting biofilm formation.
To understand the nature and function of bacterial biofilm and the process of its formation, we have performed systematic screening of a complete set of Escherichia coli genes/open reading frames (ORFs) to identify those that affect biofilm development upon over-expression. In contrast to the biofilm of strain AG1 used as a control, some of the genes/ORFs when over-expressed led to the formatio...
متن کاملZinc oxide nanoparticle reduced biofilm formation and antigen 43 expressions in uropathogenic Escherichia coli
Objective(s): This study aimed to investigate the effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-np) on biofilm formation and expression of the flu gene in uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) strains. Materials and Methods: Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of ZnO-np was determined by agar dilution method. The effect of MIC and sub-MIC concentrations of ZnO-np on biofilm formation were determin...
متن کاملMolecular characterization of enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli isolated from neonatal calves diarrhea
Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) produces different virulence factors allowing the bacterium to colonize and develop watery diarrhea. Proteomics studies have also introduced new protein belonging to the secretion pathways, antigen 43 (Ag43), which plays important role in E. coli pathogenesis. The objective of this study was to investigate O-types and virulence factors o...
متن کاملMolecular characterization and antibiotic resistance of enterotoxigenic and entero-aggregative Escherichia coli isolated from raw milk and unpasteurized cheeses
The aim of this study was to determine the occurrence of enterotoxigenic and enteroaggregative Escherichia coli strains and antibiotic resistance of the isolates in raw milk and unpasteurized cheese. Out of 200 samples of raw milk and 50 samples of unpasteurized cheeses, 96 and 24 strains of E. coli were isolated, respectively. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to detec...
